YOGA

Chi Yoga was developed by Lucia Nirmala Schmidt, an internationally renowned yoga teacher from Zurich. A yoga style that transfers traditional Indian yoga to the present day and aligns it with the needs of people in Western society.

ChiYoga is a flowing Hatha Yoga style. A fundamental element is flows - sequences of movements in which one posture flows into the other - each linked to inhalation and exhalation. It is the alternation between strength and relaxation, between dynamism and calm - always accompanied by conscious breathing.

The term "Chi" comes from traditional Chinese medicine. "Chi" or "prana" can be translated as energy or life force. The force that flows through everything living.

In ChiYoga, the entire organism is harmonized and revitalized via the meridians (energy channels) and thus finds balance. The special thing about ChiYoga is that the practice is based on the seasons. Exercises that suit the season bring the rhythm of nature back into life and give energy and strength.

ChiYoga is also characterized by wave- and spiral-shaped movements, especially of the spine, which is the central element of upright posture and the basis for the development of energy from the body's axis.
